2021-12-14 21.02.12.resized.jpg This time last year the village hall was closed and mothballed.

In an endeavour to bring a little cheer  to an otherwise somewhat miserable time we placed a small christmas tree complete with fairy lights in the front window.

At the time we expressed the hope that the covid situation would improve during 2021.

Throughout 2021 matters did improve and by July the majority of restrictions had been removed or relaxed.  The improvement continued until November of this year and we were experiencing life without too many restrictions.

Then, in November, a new covid variant arrived.  This much more infectious and faster spreading variant resulted in restrictions being re-imposed and thus many functions and all regular events at the hall are cancelled or postponed.

This year, for the second and hopefully final time the hall is decorated only by a small, illuminated tree.

We hope that for christmas 2022 we will be able to decorate the hall and host the traditional village christmas dinner.
